What Is Work Area Lighting?
Work area lighting provides reliable, regulation-compliant illumination for flaggers and ground crews working in low-light or nighttime conditions. Proper lighting not only protects workers but improves visibility for approaching drivers, reducing risk in active work zones. This unit is designed to meet National and State Flagger Illumination Regulations and complies with NCHRP Report 476 Section 2.5.2 and MUTCD Section 6E.08 — making it the right choice for highway, utility, and construction operations where lighting compliance is required.
Features & Specifications
This unit reaches a full 8 ft. light elevation via a collapsible aluminum extension mast with locking thumb screws and retractable cable, collapsing down to just 24" for easy transport and storage. The LED lamp head is rated for 50,000 hours of service and features an adjustable directional head for precise illumination placement. A push-to-test volt meter is built into the front panel for quick field checks, and a 12-volt power port allows for fast charging from an external battery source or voltage output to run 12-volt devices.
